Positioning for Successful Breastfeeding
When in use, your Chéri nursing pillow lifts your baby, bringing
her closer to you while you nurse. Using our pillow will help you maintain
proper posture while breastfeeding. Try the positions described here,
or find a position of your own that suits you! However you choose to use
it, we're confident that you'll be comfortable. Lactation consultants,
chiropractors, and new moms all love the Chéri.
You will, too!
Classic Cradle Hold:
Place the Chéri on your lap or against your waist and rest your
elbow on the pillow. Place your baby tummy to tummy with you, and support
the baby's head in the crook of your arm.
Cross Cradle Hold:
Position your baby with her tummy against yours. Use the opposite hand
to support her head, and your forearm to support her body. Rest your forearm
on your Chéri breastfeeding pillow.

Football Hold:
Place the Chéri at your side, with the inside curve against your
waist. Rest your arm on the pillow with your baby lying across your arm
- the baby's head in your hand.

Side Lying Hold:
When lying in bed, rest your baby's head on the Chéri pillow so
he can comfortably reach your breast.
Hands
Free “Hold”:
Placing the Chéri on your lap can give you a few minutes of hands
free nursing -- great for talking on the phone, attending to an older
child, or even checking your emails.
Now wasn't that easy?? Just as we promised, some simple
positioning tips to make using your Chéri breastfeeding pillow
the positive experience it was designed to be!
